Trang An Lamia Bungalow is a garden bungalow property set in the karst countryside of Ninh Binh, in the Hoa Lu district that gives the surrounding UNESCO landscape its name. Individual air-conditioned bungalows are scattered across the grounds, most opening onto a private terrace or patio with views over the lake, the gardens and the limestone mountains that ring the valley. It is a relaxed, family-friendly base that guests rate an exceptional 9.5, with especially warm praise for the staff.
The property suits couples, families and travellers who want the scenery of Trang An and Tam Coc without staying in the town. Accommodation ranges from spacious deluxe bungalows, one with its own private pool, to a family room and simpler standard rooms with shared bathrooms, so there is a fit for most budgets. Every unit has air conditioning, a minibar and a private entrance.
Beyond the rooms there is an outdoor swimming pool with a view, a sun terrace, an open-air bath and a spa offering massages and a hammam, plus a small fitness area. The on-site restaurant serves Asian and European dishes, there is a bar and coffee shop, and free bicycles make it easy to explore the rice paddies and villages nearby. Free private parking and free WiFi throughout complete the picture.

Trang An Lamia Bungalow offers six room types spread across freestanding bungalows and garden rooms, all air-conditioned and each with a private entrance. They share the same natural setting but differ in size, view and bathroom arrangement, so you can pick the level of comfort and privacy that suits your trip.
At the top of the range, the deluxe bungalows come with a terrace and lake views, and one adds a private pool for a true retreat feel. The family room sleeps a small group across a mix of beds, while the king and double rooms keep things simpler; the standard and mountain-view doubles use a shared bathroom and the lowest rates. Most units look out over the gardens, the lake or the limestone hills.

Trang An Lamia Bungalow packs a surprising amount into a countryside retreat. The headline draws are the outdoor swimming pool with a view, a sun terrace and an open-air bath, backed by a full spa with massages, beauty treatments and a hammam, and a small fitness area for keeping active between excursions.
Food and drink are well covered, with an on-site restaurant serving Asian and European dishes, a bar, a coffee house and a snack bar; breakfast can be taken in the room. Around the grounds you'll find a garden, terrace, barbecue and picnic areas, plus free bicycles for exploring. Practical services include a 24-hour front desk, concierge, tour desk, luggage storage, currency exchange, daily housekeeping and free private parking, with free WiFi available in all areas.
Trang An Lamia Bungalow sits in the rural heart of Ninh Binh's Hoa Lu district, the area of dramatic limestone karst, rivers and rice paddies often called "Ha Long Bay on land". Guests rate the location 9.1, and the appeal is precisely that it is out among the scenery rather than in town: you wake up to mountains and lake views, and the region's headline sights are all within a short drive. This is a place to slow down, cycle the lanes and take boat trips through the valleys.
The Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, the seat of Vietnam's Dinh and Le dynasties in the 10th and 11th centuries, is the closest major site, a couple of kilometres away by road. From there the piers for the Trang An boat route and the Tam Coc sampan trips are close by, and the famous viewpoint at Mua Cave (a climb of around 500 steps for a panorama over the Ngo Dong river) is an easy add-on. The vast Bai Dinh pagoda complex and Thung Nham bird park are also within reach for day trips.
Getting here is straightforward: Ninh Binh is roughly 100 km south of Hanoi, about two hours by road or train, and Ninh Binh train station is around 9 km from the property. The nearest airport, Tho Xuan, is about 84 km away by car. Bring cash, as the property is cash-only, and plan meals ahead since restaurants are a short drive off. Spring and autumn are the most pleasant seasons; late spring (around May and June) is when the Tam Coc rice fields turn golden, one of the most photographed sights in the north.
